Hello Ray,

My Carrolls also lived in St John's Parish! It is, I believe, a real coincidence that both of our Carroll ancestors were coachmen in Limerick during the same period. I have been trying to find out more about the Carrolls for years and have never come across another Carroll coachman for that time and place. Unfortunately, I do not know where my Daniel was born - it could indeed have been Bruff. Did you ever come across the names of Daniel and Bernard in your Carroll family? Perhaps it is too far back...My email address is

Deirdre C.
