Hello Ray,

My great great grandfather Daniel Carroll married in Limerick city in 1830.Ellen Nelligan was his wife. Her parents Patrick Nelligan and Mary Gloster married in 1812 in St Mary's parish. Daniel's family included a Bernard and a Patrick, but no Michael. Daniel was a coachman and most likely came from another county, possibly Tipperary or Kilkenny. I believe his father's name may have been Barnaby Carroll. My grandfather's name was Michael Carroll. I don't know if your Michael could for instance have been a nephew? Do you know anything further about your Carrolls in Limerick city eg occupation?

Deirdre Carroll
