My Carrolls are somehow connected to Charles of Carrollton, but I haven't unraveled yet. My great grandmother Almeda ( Meda, Meady) Carroll was in Oklahoma. She wasn't born till 1877, which is after the year that you have referenced. Her parents were in Neosho MO. Her mother and perhaps her father James Carroll were from Illinois prior to that. I believe that other Carrolls were in Oklahoma with her as she spoke to my aunt about relatives whom she visited.
