I have traced my mother's side of the family back to my Great Great Great Grandfather John Carroll. John and his wife whose name I have not be able to locate...had at least one son named John P. Carroll.
John P. Carroll was born in Thurles, Tipperary in 1850 and died in Philadelphia in 1928. John met and married Margaret (Allen) Carroll of Bacup, England. They had 11 children but only 9 survived. All but John were born in Philadelphia

Joseph b. 1887
William b.1889
Augusts b.1890
Francis b.1892
Constantine b.1893
Margaret b.1895
Leo b.1897
Mary b.1899
According to the 1900 Census, John P. Carroll came to the states in 1884 and his wife came over with their son John in 1886.
I would very much like to find any connection to the above mentioned Carrolls. Also, if anyone has any Carroll/Thurles connection Id be interested to hear!
