Norma,
In 1715 another Charles Carroll, a Chyrurgeon (surgeon) come from Ireland. It is said, or surmised, that all three of these Carrolls from Ireland were first cousins, but I don't know if that is true. You would have to research in Ireland...
Anyway, Dr. Charles Carroll from Ireland in 1715 married Dorothy Blake in 1723, and their son Charles Carroll became known as the Barrister.(Dr. Charles Carroll renounced Roman Catholicism and joined the Church of England.)
By the way, Charles Carroll the Immigrant (born 1660)is also know as the Attorney-General.
Eric
