Andy; It appears to me that James Humphus Carroll is the 3rd great grandfather of my wife through James Monroe Carroll's possible sister Lucinda Carroll. Lucinda was William E. McCool's first wife. Lucinda, her possible sister Mary and James Monroe Carroll all appear on image 35 of Ancestry.com's 1850 census images, families 234 and 237, Division 15, Fayette Co., AL. I seek support or validation of this possibility. Have you located James Humphus Carroll in either the 1830, 1840 or 1850 ceusus?

Phillip O'Neal Taylor, Fayette, AL
