Your two Carroll men's Y-DNA results are indeed posted at the Carroll Surname Y-DNA Project. I have been looking at all the test results (18 so far) and while you match each other, you match no other Carrolls so far. We need more Carroll men, of any spelling, to join the project, as Lura says.

None of this Y-DNA testing for genealogy has any other use, such as medical, forensics, paternity, etc... Those sort of tests look at a different kind of DNA than for genealogy.

So just like the Marines, the Carroll project needs a few more good men. Only in this way will the different Carroll families be differentiated, and brick walls start to fall.
