I intended to say Charles Carrol b.l737 was an only child. He only had one son Charles Carroll of Homewood, so it seems to me that is the only child that could have carried the Carroll name forward.

My grandmother was a Carroll. I go back to Wm Carroll,Sr. born in 1720 born in Virginia on her line.

The book shows Charles Carroll of Carrollton born Sept 8 (old style) 1737. What does that mean?
