My gg grandfather buried in Waxhaw, NC Roundtop Baptist (also known as Waxhaw Baptist)cemetary is listed by different names. John Monroe on his tombstone, John Moore in the one of the cemetary books, and John C. in the Lancaster County, SC and Union County, NC register of deeds. His sons were John Monroe, Jr-b.1893 to 1971 and Thomas Eli-b. 1878 to 1969. Daughters Delilah 1883 to after 1929(also listed as Eliza in the 1900 census) and Hester 1891 or 1892 to 1969. They lived in and around Waxhaw,NC Union County,NC and Lancaster Co, SC.
Does anyone recognize these names. Other related surnames F.W.Doster(Delilah's husband), Calvin McGuirt (Hester's Husband),Thomas Acy? Taylor (John Carroll, Sr's father in law),Mollie Estridge 11-1880(wife of Thomas Eli Carroll), Sara Harmon Estridge (Mother of Mollie),and others all related thru the Taylor line James Petty, Henry Spencer, Raymond Austin, Grove Broom, Walter Handcock, Leola May McManus,Annie McManus, Rubin Helms,Harp Cook, Sutie and Woodrow Hargett, Bicie Therrel Taylor. I have a list of Taylor first names and people they married but not sure of which could have been offspring of the others.
Help would be greatly appreciated.
Cindy
