My Grandfather James Edward Carroll was from Penn, and a direct decendent of Charles Carroll of Carrollton. His father was Thomas Carroll Sr., and his mother was Mary Long, all from the Pennsylvania/Maryland area.
Now, this is where it gets complicated.
My grandfather married Margaret Frances Fiztgerald, who's parents were William Fitzgerald and Margaret McManus. William, my great-grandfather had a number of siblings: Ana, John, Harold, Joeseph, David. These were cousins to the Fitzgeralds from Massachusetts.
The problem I'm having is that when my grandparents married, my grandmothers parents disowned her, for reasons unknown.
I am still gathering this information, and any help would be greatly appreciated!!
