CARROLL -- PARKER: IL
Posted by: Patricia Poore (ID *****8789) Date: October 20, 2003 at 20:12:01

Looking for connections for great aunt Elmo Carroll (yes, Elmo!). Aunt "El" was probably born around 1850 - 1860, most likely in NY or OH. She married a Dr. Parker and lived in Illinois during her marriage.

Aunt El had two known brothers, William Edward and James. William was an iron worker who worked on bridges in PA, OH and IL. He died in Pittsburgh PA in 1901. James was a traveling salesman who sold lead rope for mending pots and pans.

There were references for an Elmo Marie Carroll in the World Family Tree, but she was born in the 1890's, too late to be our Aunt El.
