I dont know if this is a connection or not. But my Great great grandparents were Carrolls and were from County Clare Ireland and settled in Englewood New Jersey.
Let me start at the beginning. My grandmother is Margaret Carroll and was born in 1909 in Englewood New Jersey.
Her father was William Carroll born about and died about 1958. William married Emma Giese and later became a chauffer for the Post family of Greenwich CT.
Williams mother was Ellen Cunningham from County clare Ireland. Williams father may have been named either William or JOhn and was also from County Clare Ireland. I found record at a Catholic church of a William Carroll marrying a Ellen Cunningham, both from Ireland, in 1883 at a Catholic church in Englewood NJ.
Didnt know if you had other info.
