Absalom Carroll, Ireland to SC
Posted by: Robert Carroll (ID *****2615) Date: December 12, 2002 at 20:12:30

Does anyone know the origin of the posting on various sites regarding Absalom Carroll, b. abt 1730s-40s, came from Ireland to Baltimore then to Colleton District, SC; had 5 sons: Absalom, John, James, Brittin, and Moses, all born during 1760s-70s; sons orphaned and farmed out to other families.
Sons Absalom and Brittin apparently joined militia in Johnson Co, NC, during Revolutionary War.
I have been trying for months to find the source of this information to follow up on it. Apparently this information has been picked up by several others who have added it to their Carroll information, but none of them know the origin of the data.
