My ancestor is also the same Michael Carroll mentioned in Val Grasso's memo.
Michael was born in Syracuse per his military records but he was raised in New York City. The family owned produce markets. Michael married Sarah Finan in 1869 and moved to Rhode Island shortly after.
Michael's parents were William and Anna (Curran) Carroll.
I am trying to find out when they came to the U.S. and also the part of Ireland the family immigrated from.
