Were the parents of Francis Sellman Carroll James Patrick and Amelia B. (Rawlings) Carroll? Amelia is the sister of my gg grandmother, Adaline Elizabeth (Rawlings) Carroll James. Adaline was married to William Carroll, who died before 1880 and they lived in Washington DC also. We believe that James and William were brothers who married sisters. Did Francis go by the name of Frank? I have an original copy of the obituary of Adaline. It names several Carroll nephews, one being Frank Carroll -- also Thomas and J.M. Carroll. They served as pallbearers at her funeral. My grandmother used to talk about those nephews who lived in Washington. I have census records of this family.
