Phyllis, I have an Ida Leny Jackson b June 23. 1857, died Jan 4, 1874 Married to Marshall Ellis Carroll b Oct. 13, 1852. My Grandmother, Zela Carroll King repetely told me Ida was a Cherokee and I have two photos of Ida. She had one living child Claudius Samuel Carroll who was Zela's father. She is buried at Bethal Baptist Cem. between Brundage and Troy Ala. This one has stumped me for years as it seems I could get no one else in the family to discuss it. Also she is buried far from the rest of the family in the same Cem. Her husband disappeared and there is not burial site for him. Claudius was raised by his Grandmother Caroline I. Andress Carroll and her Son John Samuel or at least they lived with him. Any help with the Jackson line would be greatly appreciated.
