Hello Linda,

Today, I found out that my great great grandmother's father was a Jack CARROLL. Her name was Mary Idella CARROLL, and she was born in Tennessee in 1858. She married John SHOEMAKER in Robertson County, TN in 1876. Do you have any idea if Idella and your James are siblings? I see you list Jack as being from Ireland. I have always been told that Idella was American Indian or half American Indian, and I have a picture of her where it appears to be true. If Idella and James are indeed siblings, have you heard of Mandy possibly being Indian? I am really interested in corresponding with you since we both have a Jack CARROLL and Robertson County, TN connection. Your James is only 6 years younger than my Idella, living in Robertson County, and father Jack!!

I will be receiving Idella's death and internment information in the mail soon. She is buried in Springhill Cemetery in Nashville.

Thank you,
William Tidwell
Marina, CA
