Hello Brenda,
I do not have that name in my notes, but my Carroll research is halted by walls!! I have heard of some sort of Native American blood, but have not found it yet. To look at my mother, I can see a lot of traits that lead me to believe the stories do have a basis. Mom has dark complexion, dark eyes, high cheekbones, etc. She is more the Carroll expert...you might try contacting her at cessews2@gvec.net
I know we do have some other "patriotic" names in the family!! 8>)
