Linda,

I have a John Carroll in my line, born about 1840, we think in North Carolina, perhaps Johnston County. He's a g-g grandfather on my Mother's side.

He ended up in Alabama, married a Margaret (we think Eaves)and lived in Perry and Dallas Counties for a while. He died in Jefferson County (Birmingham in 1890). I have more info if we have a match.
