Hi: Our family bible says my third great grandfather was cousin or uncle of Charles of Carrollton. My gg grandmother was given a snuffbox by CCC when they visited (it has now disappeared). My direct relation is a Daniel born ? and died in 1713 in Westmoreland Co.., VA., just across the river from Md. He was evidently disowned because he became a protestant because you can't find anything about him.....Although he married Mary Porter, widow of Edward, and had son Dempsey or Dempsey James (called James in the Bible)
I have all Dempsey's descendants (many, many) or most of them....but cannot find anything about Daniel his grandfather. The median age for the family's male members is around 55 I have been told, so he would be in the perimeters.
I believe he was a brother, or son, of Daniel O'Carroll, father of Charles who came to Md in 1688. Do you have any info...thanks ever so much. Susan *Rebekah Heath was Dempsey's third wife. She was from Somerset Co., md.
