There is a Samuel Carrel b. 7-4-1818 d. 10-9-1896 in the Center City Cemetery, Mills Co., Tx. Next to him is a couple - Father: Hugh Carrol b. 1-5-1841 d. 1-1-1915 and Mother: Catharine Carrol Wife of Hugh Carroll b. 6-7-1845 d. 11-19-1902.

Also buried nearby are Ida Mae, daughter of H & C Carrell b. 6-16-1879 d. 8-3-1887 and A.O. Carroll, son of Mr & Mrs Hugh Carrol = died 1883, age:10 years.

The name spellings aside, I believe this Samuel to be the son of Bartholomew Carroll b. between 1772 and 1780 d. between 1840 and 1850 and Francis Clark born about 1779. I have found that they had a son named Samuel, born on 7-4-1818, but do not have a record of that son's death.

I am sure the Samuel buried in Center City Cemetery is my relative, but am looking for more to substantiate the idea that he is Bartholomew's son.

If he is not, could you shed some light on who he may be?
