Gloria, My book is the work that I have done on the Carroll's of Tallapoosa County. The William Carroll that I told you about was the father of your William Carroll. He had a son named William who moved to Lee County and his wife's name was Louisa. I have him listed with three children who are 1. Mary J. 2. Elizabeth 3. Virginia 4. John T. 5. Martha S. 6. Sarah 7. Nancy F. 8. Cornelia.
Now as far as William Sr. this is what I have on him. He was born in South Carolina ( most likely York County)
He and Mary moved to Pike County Georgia before 1820 where several of their children were born, They then moved to Harris County Georgia where my GGGGrandfather was born. They then moved to Talapoosa County at which they lived until they died. They are buried at Union Cemetery ( on the road just below Martin Dam) This is the children that I have for them. 1.Elisha 2. Rebecca 3. Elijah 4. Thomas Jefferson 5. Elizabeth 6. William Jr. 7. James Marvin 8. Abner 9 . John C. 10. Martha 11. Marshall ( I am not positive about Marshall as he stayed in Harris County Georgia had a son named Pinckney who moved to Texas.
E-Mail me at wflawrence2@home.com and let me know more about your connection.
Thanks Fred Lawrence
