Is Macon county anywhere near Alton, Ill? There were Carrolls in the area from about 1840. Edmund Carroll and his sons farmed at Carroll Corners. There is supposed to be a Carroll family cemetary near Bunker Hill, Ill which is near Carroll Corners.
