Saw reference to McClellon CARROLL children. Believe the following information to be correct, wondered if you could add anything concerning Ambrose children.

Ambrose died in 1846 [his brother-in-law, Napoleon Bonaparte GODDARD, was the administrator of the estate] so there were probably only the two children [there is a third possible child, Hilas, who may have married a MORRIS]. Not sure who reared them as Louisa is in her father's home in the 1850 Federal Census of Bond Co., listed a Louisa GODDARD [an error?] but the children are not present.

Daughter Emily's husband did not last long either, he passed on in 1883 and is buried in Emily's aunt's plot at Bellefontaine Cemetery, St. Louis, MO [Sophriana (GODDARD) ST. CLAIR family].

Ambrose CARROLL (1819 - 1846)

    Father: McClellan CARROLL (1800 - 1874)
    Mother: Elizabeth BARRON / BAROM (1801 - )

Spouse: Louisa GODDARD (ca. 1829 - )

    Father: John GODDARD (1789/90 - 1861)

Married 9 November 1843 in Bond Co IL.

Children:

1 Emily M CARROLL, m. Charles HEIMSTREET, 14 January 1862 in St. Louis Co MO

  2 George CARROLL
