Thanks for your message--I think what makes tracing Irish relatives so difficult is the fact they used the same few names over and over. My great grandmother was Elizabeth Carroll b. 1821 in Queens Co. Ireland, the daughter of Lawrence Carroll and Bridget Daughin. Her siblings were Terence, John, Michael, Larry, Mary & Julie/Judy. Larry & Michael came to Breckinridge County, Ky. (as did Elizabeth), lived and died there. They say Mary & Julie came to NY and stayed there. Any of this familar to you?
