Thanks. Our ancestry probably starts with the same family. The unconfirmed information I have shows the following lineage:John1- came from England with wife and three children in 1650, settled in Isle of Wight Cty, VA; John2- lived in Isle of Wight Cty and died there in about 1710,had 7 children; Benjamin3, lived in Isle of Wight Cty, VA, had two known children; John4 moved to Bertie Cty, NC, had nine children,d. abt.1760; John5 born in Northampton Co,NC(Bertie Cty)had 10 children, moved to Moore Cty, NC where he died about 1822; John6 lived in Moore Cty, NC,where he died before 1822, had 6 children, one of whom was my great great grandfather, Benjamin Hawkins Carroll, b. 1809 in NC and died 1859 in Rankin Cty, MS.
