No, I am not familiar with Dr. Trimbles book, but it could be very useful to me. Do you have the title so I can research it and see if there is a copy in the Clayton Library here in Houston (haven't thought of it till now, but I hope all is well there after last weeks rain and flood!).

Sarah Jane's and Arthur Harris' son, G. A. Harris, known as Fain, was my Great-Grandfather. No one alive ever knew him as he died May 27, 1915 in Lyford near Raymondville in south Texas. I think that is Willacy county? He is buried in Lyford cemetery. I hope to visit his grave one day soon.

The story of the love afair between Fain and Mattie, my Great-Grandmother, is beautiful as revealed by the numerous letters and momentos she left.

In her photo album is a wonderful photograph of Sarah Jane. Sarah was living with my G-GM in Teague in 1910 when my grandmother was born. They are in the census, on Walnut street. I have a page and line number around here somewhere. I suppose she was there to help out with the baby, because my GM was born right around the time of the enumeration.

I have a GEDCOM on my web site at http://web.wt.net/~jwsteen/genealogy.html. I will be moving it soon to http://www.steen-central.org.
