Hoping someone out there can be of help. I am trying to find connections of the Carroll family to the Powell family of Duplin Co., NC. I have Hardy Carroll who deeds land to three daughters in 1820 (Duplin Co.). Daughters Listed in the deed are Sarah, Lydia, and Ann Carroll. Ann married Joel Powell and in 1826 and 1830 Ann and Joel Powell sale her land to Stephen Hollingsworth. I have read a few of the postings on this forum regarding this particular Hardy Carroll and they have been helpful. I am interested in knowing a little more about this family in hopes of discovering more about my Powell line. Does anyone have additional information on the daughters? Please feel free to contact me at or post to this forum I'll be glad to share information. Thank you all!
