Dear Tavia,
My grandfather was Alfred Carroll,married
to Netty Schmidt, my fathers name was Alvie Leonard, he had abrother named Harvey & a brother named Robert,also either a step or half sister through his mother named Faye.
My fathers first wife was named Teddy(Theadora?)after thier divorce thier three
children(2boys 1 girl)were given up for adoption.He died in Va. in 1974.He was born in 1925,supposably in Malden,Mo.
My mother always said my faternal grandmothers name was Netty Lorraine Schmidt.
I was born in Chicago where my parents and nettie all lived at the time. Grandfathers nick-name was Timber and he died in his car at a traffic-signal,Complications from diabetes. I heard that both of his lower legs had been amputated some time before that also he had been married and divorced after Nettie left him and ended up in Chicago.
