I have no information for you. I saw your message while browsing the web for general genealogical information. My carroll ancestors have been in Philadelphia (so I am told) since the late 1820's. They were most definitely Irish and Catholic. I do not have names for the original Carroll(s) who arrived here (in Philadelphia) - so in a way I'm curious about your Mary's parents. Did they arrive in PHila. from Ireland?
Sorry to ramble; I was just fascinated to see other Carrolls in Phila. at that time.
