Hi Linda,
My mother’s maiden name is also Carroll. Is it you who were looking for Craft and Elic Carroll some time ago?
Daniel (II) who signed the U.S.Constitution had a grandson William.
It seems Daniel (II) born 1730 who signed the Constitution had 2 sons, Daniel (III) born 1753, and some say Thomas born 1750.Daniel (III) married Elizabeth Digges and their 2 sons were William Carroll and George Atwood Carroll.William married Henrietta Williamson.
Thomas, born 1750, married Mary Montgomery and their first son was the William Carroll who became prominent as a Major General in the War of 1812, I believe, and later Governor of TN.
Eric
