CARROLL in 1850 Hancock Co., GA

I am looking for information on the parents and siblings of my husband's 2nd
gt.grandmother, Sarah CARROLL. She was born in GA in 1839; married George
Washington DENTON in 1855 in Paulding Co., GA. They were still in Paulding Co.
at the time of the 1880 census. They moved to Alabama about 1891 (at least
that's the date of their Homestead Entry), first DeKalb Co., then Winston Co.
Sarah died in 1817 and is buried (as is George)in the Upshaw Friendship Baptist
Church Cemetery. Does anyone have information about this Sarah? I was given a very good picture of Sarah and George Washington, if anyone else is interested in this family.

Since I wrote the query above in January, 2000, I have found the following census. John and Emeline’s daughter, Sarah, is the right age to be the Sarah described above. I then found the marriage of John and Emeline in Greene Co., GA (adjoins Hancock Co.), but at the GA Archives, I could find nothing more about the family.

1850 Hancock Co., GA, census
Household #254
Carroll, John D.        45
Emerline               40
Andrew J.               13
Sarah               12
Emily                4
Susan                1
All born in Georgia.

Carroll, John D. married Humphrey, Emeline on 12 Aug 1833 in Greene County, Georgia

Can anyone help me prove or disprove that the two Sarahs are the same?
