Mary Ann Carroll, 1850-1890's, Wisconsin

Thomas and an Ann (Devine or McGinty) Carroll are the parents to Mary Ann. Census records show her parents were born in Ireland, but she was born in Canada, most likely in route to the US. I find her living in Town of Waldwick, Iowa County, Wisconsin. She first appears on an 1860 census at the age of 6, living with a Michael and Mary Mear family. Listed with her is a sister, Etta Carroll, 1. I have no idea what happened to her parents. I find her again on 1870 census in same town living with a James and Catherine McGinnity. It is rumored that McGinnity may have been family members perhaps on her mother's side. She grew up to marry James Laverty and had several children. Her husbands obit leads me to believe she died in 1893. Does anyone have any info on my elusive Mary Ann?
