Bill,

I wonder about your Amos Carroll of CT who was Protestant, and served in the Revolutionary War, and his son John Carroll. My Carroll ancestors were also Protestant, probably from New England, and one of them served with or under General Anthony Wayne. Later he or his son served in the War of 1812 and was killed. His son (grandson) Anthony Wayne Carroll was my GGG-Grandfather. I am searching for any clues to these Carrolls who served in those two wars, which might lead me find Anthony Wayne Carroll’s parent, who are at the moment unknown.

Thanks,
Eric
