This is a 2nd time around for this one as I still haven't found any info on this family in 1840 or 1860. Anyone recognize any of this family other than Taylor? Thanks!
James Carroll age 50, Sarah age 27, Martha age 24 or 26, Isaac age 14, Boyd age 13, Benjamin age 11, Martha age 5, Taylor age 4, Adaline age 3. [[ I believe the Taylor here is my g.grandfather who married Mary Walling. They had a son James. Mary died? Taylor married again - Elizabeth. They migrated to Douglas Co. Missouri. Children were James with 1st wife Mary,-- then Emma, William (my grandfather), Elias, Tivie, Jean and Eddie with Elizabeth. Taylor's obituary in 1937 listed his birth year as 1851 (discrepancy w/1850 census).]] The ages of James' family in the 1850 census range from his at 50 years to Adalines at age 3. Were these all children of James? I haven't been able to "find" this family in the 1840 census--nor the 1860 census. (They were all supposedly born in Virginia.) Any information that you might share re. the origination, roots, etc. of this family would be appreciated. Thanks! GT
