The Hugh Carroll I have was married in Humphries, NE to Mary Grant of Ireland. He died in Brimfield, IL 4/21/1927. I have requested the information from the liobrary there for a copy of his and Mary's Obit notice. I will let you know if I found out anything. They had 10 Children, My gr grandmother was Mary Katherine Carroll Heirmeier. I will be going back to Il in the spring and will try to dig up more information. Let me know if you come up with something first. You are not the first person to mention the possibity of the orphan train. Thanks for replying Joan Eaton
