My ggGrandfather, Patrick Carroll mentions a brother John in a letter of 1865. John had recently had a daughter Mary.
Patrick had come (according to family tradition) from Co. Cork, IRE. By 1856, he was living in Philadelphia. In the 1860 census return, there is an Ellen Hennessey living with my ggGramps' family.
Please let me know if you think we have a connection. TimCarroll61@aol.com
