I have a feeling that the Cooper Co. Carrolls may be my Carrolls. My great, great grandparents were Charles Carroll and his wife Susan McFadden Carroll. One of their sons was James Carroll, my great grandfather; his younger brother was named Dennis, and both fought in the Civil War and were captured several times. The references I have are a little confusing concerning Dennis--I didn't know whether or not he was killed by Federals. I knew nothing about his marital status and if there was a sister named Mary. My records show a sister named Sarah. I am looking forward to corresponding with you!
