My family has a lot of James David Carroll names in it, and they lost their history prior to the burning of Atlanta in 1864.

We found out later, there was a letter in the family bible from a cousin also named James T. Carroll. He sent the letter in 1925 from Baird, MS, and in the letter he stated that there was an older family bible in his possesion with dates prior to 1850, but we've never seen it, and thats all we know !
