Here is a an obituary of a family member I stumbled across while doing research on somone else. Does anyone have any information about the adopted daughter? We had no idea that Pete had child.

Frostburg, Md., Dec. 5 - Peter F. Carroll, aged 58 years, grocer at 108 Bowery street for 28 years, died at the residence adjoining the store yesterday morning at 3 o’clock, following several years chronic illness of asthma and other complications.
Mr. Carroll was born in Scotland and came to this country when but a boy. He arrived in Frostburg at maturity and was married to Miss Jennie Rafferty, who survives. No children were born to this union, but a daughter was adopted, who met with tragic death in an auto accident about one year ago. Two sisters, Miss Alice Carroll, Vancouver, British Columbia and Mrs. John Spates, Washington, D.C., survive.
He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus. The funeral will be held from St. Michael’s Catholic Church Wednesday morning at 9 o’clock with requiem high mass, celebrated by Rev. William J. McVeigh, assistant pastor. The Junior Choir will sing. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
