My family is of African American heritage and our decendants were owned by the Carroll's of Navarro County. We have had several reunions and shared with family members the limited info we have about how we aquired our surname of Carroll. Aunt Chardie was the slave owned by the Carroll's and she adopted our ancestor named "Little Allen".We would really appreciate any info you might have on slaves owned by the Carroll's. We have visited the Carroll family cemetery in Dresden. There in the cemetery is a corner that contains the graves of some of the family slaves. Again, any info would greatly be appreciated as I would share this would other family menbers.
