James Ward. (John Ward was son of
Elizabeth & Brian Ward. Brian later
married Nancy, Beloved Woman of the
Cherokee.)
Info collected (I haven't proven) states:
4. Catherine McDaniel was dau of Wm. David
McDaniel (Scotch trader b. ca 1716
Scotland) who married Soo-kie "Granny"
Hopper in 1752.
5. Soo-kie Hopper was dau. of Kana-g-toga
aka "Old Hop" aka Standing Turkey (b. ca
1690 Chota on the Little Tennessee
River, d. Aug 1761 Chota) & Cherokee
mother.
6. Old Hop was son of Amatoya Moytoy (b. ca
1640 Chota & Quatsy (of the Wolf Clan b.
ca 1650 Tellico).
Note: Amatoya Moytoy's dau. Nancy Moytoy
b. ca 1683 m. White Owl Raven (of the
Algonquin Tribe ?) b. ca 1680. They were
parents of Tame Doe b. ca 1716 d. ca
1760. Tame Doe & a Delaware Indian were
parents of the famous Nancy who m. Bryant
Ward.
