Hi. My great great grandfather Edward Lawlor married a woman by the name of Margaret Balfe in Crookstown, Co. Kildare in Ireland in 1838. They emmigrated to Astralia soon after. Perhaps youre Balfes come from Crookstown in Kildare. Its worth a try. God bless you. Scott.
