My grandfather Charles Joseph Carroll did research on the family tree 30 years ago, and found out our family is a direct descendent of Charles Carroll of Carrollton. If you are a descendent of Charles Carroll of Carrollton then we are kin. My grandfather died in 1975, and took to his grave a lot of information about his parents. Maybe you can help me. My grandfather was born in Oil City, PA to John Carroll, and Anne (O'Brien?) My great-grandfather John was killed on the railroad when he was 30-some years old. They had several children, but I'm not sure how many and what are all their names. The ones I do know were Mary (May), Otto, Richard, and Eleanor. Mary entered the convent at 16 in Erie, PA. Otto was killed on the railroad as well. Eleanor lived in Oil City, PA. I don't know anything about Richard. My grandfather married Emma Lehrnott of Oil City, PA, and they moved to Buffalo, NY. They had four children, Emma, John (my father), Mary and Charles. Maybe you can shed-some-light, or someone in your family could on my grandfather's parents. I would appreciate any help you could give me.
