I'm intrigued with your entry since I have some Malcolm CARROLLs of whom I know very little but their names. My maternal great-grandmother was Jimmie Evelyn PORTER and her sister was Maxim Girard PORTER. The former married my great-grandfather, George Bruce CARROLL on November 29, 1882 in New Iberia, Louisiana, and the latter married Walter CARROLL November 24, 1886, I know not where.
I've always assumed these two guys were brothers although I have no proof. George CARROLL's father was a Michael CARROLL from Ireland, & his mother was an unknown woman from Florida. I tell you all this since how did a Louisiana family begin with a lady from Florida? It's very possible maybe they were in other states during an earlier time than I have been able to trace. Also, my g-grandmother was born in Texas, and my grandfather & some of his people lived in Arkansas in later years.
Walter & Maxim had 4 children: Irma, Gladys May, Maxie, & Malcolm. Therefore, the name CARROLL was lost except for the one boy, Malcolm, who married Alice Lambert in September of 1916. They had two children - Adine & Malcolm Dillard. There, I lose track of this family completely.
Any possibility we have a connection?
