m. in VA or WV to Matilda Berkley 1830's?

Just curious if anyone has any information (please see previous post)

Elizabeth Carroll b. 1842 m. 1862 d. 1914
William Carroll b. ca1800 m. ca1830 d.ca1860
+Matilda Berkley b. ca 1810 d. ?

William and Matilda were married most likely in Virginia, but possibly West Virginia (because before the Civil War) and from the area.

Family legend from my ggGrandmother say she was descended from Charles Carroll of Carrollton, though I've been unable to make the connection.
