Jenny, I forgot , I have a copy of a city directory from RockHill, SC. dated 1908-1909 and in it is a Caroll, Samuel B. Jr and his wife (Nannie) he was a conductor on ths Southern Railroad.
Also in the directory of RockHill, SC of 1933-1934 is Carroll, S B (Nannie) again he lives at 219 Green St. Both my U C. Carroll and his Wife Etta (Redd) are actually buried in the Laurelwood cemetery in Rock Hill.
Does any of this ring a bell?
