This may not pertain at all. My husband's mother's maiden name was CARROLL. Her parents lived near Oswego, KS on a Cherokee reservation, however, none of them were Native American. His grandfather was George Thomas Carroll b. Aug 1866 (1865), m. first
Johanna Powell in Cincinnati, OH. m. second Anna E. Gorman from Chapman, KS. The second wife and the family they raised lived near Oswego. Let me know if you need more information.
