Serena REED Carrithers was the daughter of Milburn ( b. ca 1820 IN) & Elizabeth EVANS Reed and granddaughter of Caleb Stephen & Prudence KIRKHAM Reed.

From Sullivan co. IN census records,
children of Milburn & Elizabeth "Betsy" REED included:

1. Melcina REED b. ca 1845
2. Serena REED b. ca 1846 to 1849
3. William O.B.REED b. ca 1848 to 1850
4. James S. REED born ca 1851
5. Bate O. REED born ca 1857
