Hi Kim

Don't let the spelling of the name Carruthers / Carrithers fool one into a state of orign. We early Pa Carruthers/Carothers as it was changed to in 1749 , make our down we left family in Kentucky, using the spelling, we infact used Carrithers in pa, in the early day's, and my famly carries all varriations of the spelling on their from early MD,Pa,to VA,to NC, to TN and west word . We Carruthers surname researcher have been following Jim and Mary Porter Carruthers/Carrithers/Carothers . We know he's part of our early family, and so is Mary . Porter is common surname allie.

We are slowly sorting the Kentucky families.
Tommy
